Startup Developers – Make sure you think about the business too…. | SEOmoz Developer Blog
Here are some guidelines of things to consider:
Will this work cause more customers to sign up?
Will this work prevent customers from canceling because I am improving the user experience in some significant way?
And by significant, think about how many users are impacted by the error/issue/feature?
Will this work save team members time? Ideally for the time you spend on the feature, it should save at least 2-5 times that over a 6-12 month period
Will this work help us make better decisions so that we know we are building the right products? (such as items that help us understand our customers better) -
